About me

For the better part of the last decade, I’ve been designing customer-focused, cross-platform experiences for Silicon Valley based companies and have worked with some of the most talented designers and engineers in the world. In my spare time, I love watching baseball and making art. You can check out some of my paintings and drawings here. I also make pixel art for a project I call Pixel Hall of Fame and have done work for both Nike and ESPN.

Work experience

2017 - 2019 • Senior Product Designer at
Cake.co • Mountain View, CA

Joining Cake as their 2nd designer was an exciting opportunity for me to work with talented Silicon Valley veterans to help build a product from the ground up. I worked closely with the founding team to visualize and design experiences for key areas of the product. Here are some of the things I worked on:

2011 - 2017 • Senior Product Designer at SmugMug • Mountain View, CA

Over the course of my time at SmugMug, I worked on several teams and designed key parts of their flagship product. Some of the foundations I established helped position SmugMug as a leader in the photo-sharing space, which eventually allowed them to acquire Flickr in 2018. Here are some of the things I worked on:

2008 - 2011 • Freelance Designer • Chicago, IL

I got acquainted with product design while freelancing over a decade ago. I worked with small and medium sized businesses to help develop their entire brand identities and design their websites, making sure they looked good on all screen sizes.

Skills and software

In addition to conceptualizing user flows and interaction patterns for all screen sizes, I also have a strong visual design foundation and enjoy building/maintaining visual and pattern libraries. I like being involved in all aspects of the design process. Here are some of my strengths, as well as some of the software I’m familiar with:
